1. Evaluation

UNDP defines evaluation as "A time-bound exercise that attempts to assess systematically and objectively the relevance, performance and success of ongoing and completed programmes and projects."

We perform evaluations with your active participation, with discretion, while maintaining our independence in our analyses and recommendations.

Sample preseentations of evaluations carried out:
- ILOAIDS-UNAIDS-GTZ -

2. Problem-analysis

Our methods focus on analysing the existing situation on the basis of available information. Major problems are singled out, determining causes and feasible solutions. Practical tools for problem analysis are introduced and a coherent and realistic problem-solving strategy is drawn up.

Solutions are found using comparative methods and the final outcome is a set of specific and realistic strategies to face the future.

3. Strategic Planning

This is the process by which an organisation envisions its future and develops the necessary procedures and operations to achieve that future. We assist through providing the environment for organisations to learn from themselves and to make coherent and feasible decisions about their future.

4. Participatory management

We assist your organisation to build and/or strengthen the partnership between decision-making bodies and staff. We facilitate the process for both groups to participate equally in the planning process and enlighten each other with the decisive and indispensable insights required to achieve strategic goals. The board, in addition to helping develop the plan, contributes with its authority to reach final approval of the plans as well as for holding itself and staff accountable for the results.

5. Sustainability

The first condition for a management system to be efficient and effective is its ability to ensure sustainable quality outputs and quality of its own. Therefore, the adoption of a quality management system (QMS) is a strategic decision by the top management of an organisation.

6. Quality Management Systems (QMS) development

A QMS is based on the principles of quality management that - contrary to the layperson's belief - do not intend to impose uniformity in structure or uniformity of documentation. The design and implementation of an organisation's QMS is influenced by the organisation itself, its varying needs, particular objectives, the products (and services) provided, the processes employed, its size and structure and its existing systems, leaders and internal culture.  We have gathered the experience to assist and coach organisations in this challenging task.

7. Process Efficiency Programme

Are operational teams not achieving expected results? Are there negative tensions hindering team work and team-member interactions? Are there internal or external situations contributing to these problems?

Around the world, evaluations confirm high levels of investment in HR and organisational development in recent and past years, yet: weaknesses in organisational culture prevent effective institutional development for many; managers still experience difficulties to ensure successful process outcomes.

Our Programme strengthen the customer institution's organisational culture, provides indispensable conceptual training, gives you the tools to plan and implement efficient operational processes, supplies you with efficiency-sustaining systems, and opens the way to continuous process efficiency improvement.

8. Health Systems Development

This is a development programme designed primarily to strengthen the health system's capability for delivery according to the needs of the populations served. Through a transformation process it develops a participatory management scheme, increasing accountability while at the same time incrementing the required knowledge, skills, attitudes, and behaviours health leaders, managers and staff need to deliver effective and sustainable health services.

The programme is fully applicable to any Health System Organisation (HSO) whether this is a whole national system, a district system, a referral hospital, a smaller health service or a private hospital or a chain of private health services, or a public/private venture.
The programme contains a series of modules that form a combination of on-site training, planning, problem-solving and development workshops facilitated by expert consultants and supported when necessary by selected mentors.

9. Local Governance Strengthening

Local Governance is concerned with the challenge to meet citizen needs and expectations through qualitative municipal services and compliance with regulatory requirements, including environmental protection.

All groups of residents, be it in a village, a town or a larger city, already have political and public administration systems in operation. However, the efficiency of a local governance system is an added value, incrementing the quality and adequacy of services, and producing results from which the Municipality can obtain long-lasting recognition and build a better future for all involved.

A Quality Management System (QMS) designed for local governance provides systemic solutions to analyse citizen requirements and expectations, to develop the processes that ensure satisfactory services, to control those processes and services and to ensure that they continuously respond to changing circumstances.

10. Quality Assurance of Hotel Services

Hotel services are concerned with the challenge to satisfy all customer's requests and expectations within relevant legislation. This implies both Quality and Environmental Management.

Through Quality Management, they respond to customer requirements better each time; meet regulatory requirements with full assurance; add value to service performance; improve the hotel's general work environment, and further develop the culture of continuous improvement in every area.

Through Environmental Management, they respond in a competitive manner to customers' expectations on environmental issues; reduce the hotel's hazardous effects on the environment to an acceptable minimum, and achieve continuous improvement also on environmental performance.

Hotels also need recognised certificates, and our tailored programme may give you the opportunity to obtain level three certification by Swiss Tourism and the ISO certifications of conformity with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.

Contact us if you feel we can assist you in any of the above disciplines.
