The Acumanage Method

The Acumanage Method is a systemic management methodology that combines market research with logical planning, marketing, execution and quality management to obtain expected results through ethical business practices.

Today’s customers expect products and services that meet their needs in a sustained, effective and efficient manner. Companies, too, are expected to function efficiently and effectively and to provide value for the prices they charge. Society at large expects companies to apply ethical principles in dealing with employees, in managing their finances and salary scales, and in the marketing of their products, in addition to being efficient and effective.

The financial crisis of the beginning of the 21st Century has produced major paradoxes where some businesses and multinationals control large sections of the world’s markets. Having gone through deep restructuring they have revolutionised the labour market, laying off large numbers of people who have not been able to keep pace with a technologically driven and changing economy. Producing more with less has become the norm. Furthermore, the communications revolution and the over-marketing of “the latest product” – not necessarily the “best” or “needed” – have created new, reasonable and unreasonable demands, leading to a culture of “consumerism”.

Millions of SMEs and start-up companies have mushroomed in old and emerging economies around the planet. During the last thirty years, some have had outstanding success, many have survived and a considerable number of them have failed. Investors, managers and employees have lived through the collapse of ideologies and the failure of economic schemes in existence since the end of World War II that were apparently too strong to fail.

The myriad of management techniques appearing since Edward Deming’s post-war influence in reviving the Japanese industry has led to a jargon jungle that has blurred the understanding of efficient, effective and ethical management. While most of the management gurus that subsequently appeared expanded the understanding of management science, they also added their own particularities – not always sufficiently clear – to help the layman channel new techniques in the proper direction. Many came up with damaging shortcuts, easy ways to make a buck with little or no care for the impact that such “solutions” might cause.

Today, a review of the learning acquired in more than half a century of successful and unsuccessful trials is needed to elucidate the basic, what really works or doesn’t work, to help leaders and managers apply old and new techniques that assure effective execution within the framework of good management.

The Acumanage Method therefore, is a Management methodology that focuses on Efficiency, Effectiveness and Ethics providing essential tools required to identify customers’ real needs and to produce services and products that respond to those needs. The method‘s design, planning and execution tools, added to introducing new process dynamics, help users interact effectively with decision-making so that products together with meeting customer requirements and expectations are also feasible and can be properly marketed. Leaders and managers will find that The Acumange Method provides them with all the tools required to ensure that every process within the company or organization produces quality outputs at every level and supports a sustainable and successful future..
